On the afternoon of May 10, the operation and maintenance division of Hami project jointly carried out an emergency rescue drill for ammonia leakage. In this emergency drill, it is assumed that the 1# ammonia water delivery pump valve in the ammonia water tank area fails and ammonia water leaks.
When the inspection personnel smelled the pungent smell of ammonia water during the inspection, they quickly reported it, and the duty chief immediately reported to the production department to start the emergency rescue plan. At the emergency drill site, the duty chief arranged for personnel to quickly block the site, prohibit all personnel and vehicles from passing, and prohibit all open fire operations. At the same time, organize personnel to install fire belts and atomizing nozzles immediately for air dilution. Outside the ammonia water tank area, the maintenance personnel put on chemical protective clothing and gas masks, enter the site to deal with the liquid ammonia leakage point, and report to the on-site command team after the treatment is completed. Release the emergency state. The whole exercise was a complete success, and the escape and emergency treatment were in an orderly manner.
Ammonia is a dangerous chemical and is widely used in industrial production. Ammonia is corrosive and easily volatile, so the accident rate is very high. This emergency drill tested the project department's emergency response and crisis handling capabilities in the face of ammonia leakage accidents, and improved the safety awareness of project department employees.
